Michael and Sam, when I was 7 years old I also had a brain tumor that had to be removed. The type of tumor I had was oligodendroglioma astrocytoma which is a combination of a malignant and benign tumor. I also had it removed in Children’s Hospital in L.A. my father, who happens to be a physician was pretty convinced at that time that I was never going to walk again after the surgery was over and possibly not see. Today I am 22 years old, able to walk, see, finish highschool on time, and most importantly, NEVER EVER given up hope and faith in the Lord. I’m a fighter and I can see that you are as well. It is a blessing to see the support, love, generosity, and blessings being made in your pecious girls name. She has forever touched many peoples hearts. When it is hard to stay strong, positive, and/or faithful, it is then that you need to remember the miracle you were given by God and know you have so many ready and waiting to be there for you in any way possible. These words came to me while i’m sitting here preparing the raffle stuff. So many generous donations, so much love; it touches my heart. Take care, love you, lots of prayers, see you Sunday.

Our 7 year old nephew Nicholas had a malignant brain tumor removed – 8 years ago. He’s a healthy high school sophomore now, so never stop believing in miracles. We’ll keep Eliana and your family in our prayers.
You are truly blessed to have so many family and friends step up and offer prayers, kind words, and special thoughts for each of you.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is something I can do. I send you all a warm embrace.
Sam,Michael, and Eliana..I pray for you guys every night and I have faith that God is looking over baby Eli and will do what is right.
I was in such sock and sadness to hear the terrible news when Sam contacted me. Such a beautiful baby and happy family. It just not fair.. I have not had the chance to meet Michael and Eliana but if they are in any way like Sam I know there is so much love, strength and faith there and if we all keep on praying and ask God to look over the family during this terible time in life, they will get through it and Eliana will be healthy as ever. If there is anything I can do to help please contact me. You guys hang in there.
My prayers are with all three of you. Eliana is lucky to have such loving parents and people who care about her so much. Even though I don’t know your family, I care so much for you all. Our family had a similar experience 20 years ago with a loved one diagnosed with brain cancer. I feel your pain, your fear and your hope. Stay in touch with the hope. Your little girl needs that from you and it will carry you far and give you strength. Again, you are in my prayers. Eliana is a gift to you. Never forget that. Your love with take her through all the hard times.

Michael, Sam, and Baby Eli,
Even though we haven’t met you yet, your family here in Utah are praying for you. We have put your website up on our facebook and there have been many prayers here for you all, even for grandpa and grandma Mendoza. We hope to come visit you and finally meet. The Lords hands are laying on your tiny little body, and we will continue to pray for you all. Love the Marquez’ in Utah
Dear Baby Eliana,
You have a beautiful family who has been strengthened through your perseverance. We pray that God continues to use you as an example of the love that he has for all of us. We are confident that the Lord carries you in his arms and that we will all one day see you graduate from High School, College etc!!
Michael & Sam – You’ve done a great job and we are certain the Lord has many more years of blessings left for your family. Keep your faith and we are all here to support you when you are feeling overwhelmed! We pray that you feel the love of the entire community!
It’s hard to ever fully prepare yourself for this type of situation and although it may seem hard to keep your head up and keep faith in god without wondering why these type of things happen we have to remember that to overcome is to appreciate. I believe that god will hear everyone’s prayers because your little girl has not only brought your family and friends closer together but helped even those who have never met her feel the sympathy and greatest compassion for the family as well as her. I will continue to pray that your little one will soon be in your arms, pain free and lighting up every room she walks into with the beautiful smile. Have faith in god and know you’re not alone. God bless

To this beautiful family my sister in law sent me your story and I just want to let you know I feel your pain! My 9 yrs old son Jonathan just got diangosed with a brain stem tumor in June 09, 2 wks after he completed the 3rd grade. I live in Ventura. I tell my self to be strong every day and count on the lord to supply more streghten for me and my family. He has gone through chemo and radiation for 6 wks and we continue with chemo theraphy for maybe 2 more yrs. The one thing that has gotten me through this is faith in the Lord!! Just remember that no matter what doctors tell you keep your faith in the Lord his report is the last report. He is the one who bless us with our babies in our bellies. Best wishes to you and if you need someone to relate too please call me 805-637-3718 we can help eachother other with streghten cause we have something in common, Our Babies need a Miricle!!! Sam & Michael-
It is a blessing to see the support, love, generosity, and blessings being made in your pecious girls name. Take care, love you, lots of prayers, see you Sunday.
love and hugs,

You may not remember us, we’re friends of your mom’s from the old SW Mpls neighborhood. We’re very sorry to hear about Eliana’s illness. Our 7 year old nephew Nicholas had a malignant brain tumor removed – 8 years ago. He’s a healthy high school sophomore now, so never stop believing in miracles. We’ll keep Eliana and your family in our prayers.

Sam, Michael, and Eliana,
You are truly blessed to have so many family and friends step up and offer prayers, kind words, and special thoughts for each of you.
Sam and Michael – These are the people you can count on to walk in front of you when you need footsteps to follow, to walk beside you you when you need someone to lean on, and to stand behind you when you are facing difficult challenges like you are today.
Eliana – be comforted by all the love that surrounds you, both near and far away. You have touched our hearts in a special way. Stay strong, precious one, stay strong!

My heart and prayers go out to you.

God bless

May God watch over you, comfort you, and bring you back to a healthy little diva that you are! Michael & Sammy-Sam-My heart is breaking for you two, but my faith has only grown stronger. It is amazing to see your love and stregnth as parents, and dedication to your sweet girl to be her voice, and fight her battle with her. Although we don’t understand God’s plan, don’t forget that through all this hurt and pain, good things will come. Eliana has brought so many people together in her name, and restored so many others faith in Jesus Christ. She is an angel. May God continue to bless you with stregnth, hold you in his arms, and send you moments of peace to remind you of his AMAZING GRACE. Look at these messages of love and support! And so many prayers from those who love you and some who don’t even know you! GOD LISTENS. “According to your faith, be it unto you”. EXPECT to bring Eliana home and EXPECT her perfect health. Soon the 3 of you will be home and the change will have occured in you and those close to you that is God’s will. God doesn’t plan sadness or hardship in our lives, but He will create goodness from it. Wishing you strength and peace as you are on this journey. You are SO loved. We are continually thinking of you – and expecting the miracle. We love you Michael and Sam.
